Management Coordinator

The Company

The Glow Management, an artist management company based in Durham, North Carolina. In its fifth year and growing, their current roster includes artists such as MJ Lenderman (ANTI-), Hippo Campus (Psychic Hotline), Hotline TNT (Third Man), Sylvan Esso (Psychic Hotline), and Wednesday (Dead Oceans).

Position Summary

The Glow is hiring a Management Coordinator, with a focus on logistics, accounting and tour support. This is a new position that will work directly with the Project Manager across The Glow’s roster to help support artists’ businesses. The role will coordinate travel + scheduling, assist artists with basic accounting and bookkeeping and generally support the administrative arm of the company as it comes to supporting artists. The candidate will be based in Durham, NC and report to the Project Manager.

Specific Responsibilities

Logistics

  • Booking travel arrangements for clients and senior staff.
  • Maintaining schedules for clients and senior staff.
  • Booking promotional engagements for clients.
  • Supporting managers / tour managers on touring logistics.

Accounting

  • Making sure invoices are created/paid promptly.
  • Supporting artists / tour managers on settling out tours, running payroll.
  • Creating revenue reports for smaller clients.
  • Helping to file + prepare tax documents for client’s CPAs.

Administration

  • Maintaining office systems, personnel information, etc.
  • Durham office admin support – shipping/receiving, maintaining storage facilities, etc
  • Maintaining artist web store stock levels, tour orders, etc.
  • Data entry – keeping track of ticket links, maintaining MasterTour, etc.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of music and/or office administration experience
  • Affinity for and/or experience with relevant genres.
  • Excellence with Microsoft Office and workplace management platforms (Google Suite, etc.)
  • Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and independent with the discipline to work effectively remotely.
  • Intuitive, self-starting and well organized with strong communication skills.

Compensation

Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience. Depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the starting base salary is anticipated at an annual rate of $40,000 plus benefits.
